A number of local Lowcountry physicians currently work with Coastal Carolina Research Center (CCRC), some of which are coming up on their 7th year. CCRC continually reinforces the fact that we have a unique opportunity here in the Lowcountry. We want to:
“Replace the public’s fear and misconception of Coastal Carolina Research Center’s work in clinical research, with a full understanding of, appreciation for, and involvement in the positive impact trial results have in the lives of participants and the world at large.”
For local physicians who share this sentiment, then we would like to speak with you. We can’t do it alone and find that “interested” physicians can be very beneficial in “spreading the word” about what clinical research is all about. Furthermore, we may be able to work together in a mutually beneficial manner and provide to you immediate access to the clinical research industry with studies that we currently are conducting or that we may be targeting for the future. In some respects CCRC’s capacity to conduct clinical trials are limited and defined by resources, both space and personnel, to our current levels in Mt. Pleasant and Goose Creek. It also may be limited by the specialty types and therapeutic areas of interests of our current staff of physicians.
Certainly the expertise we have obtained in conducting clinical trials over the past decade is very valuable. CCRC has a very skilled and trained staff, we know how to identify and market ourselves for new clinical trial opportunities, we understand all the regulatory, contractual and financial requirements of research, and we know how to recruit for study volunteers.
The extent at which you are able to participate in clinical trials with CCRC is understandably fluid and ever-changing due to the demands of your current private practice. However if you would like to explore how you may work with Coastal Carolina Research Center please contact Nathan Morton directly at 856-3784 or email him at nmorton@coastalcarolinaresearch.com.
