Re: Volunteers needed for a short-term Overactive Bladder research study of an approved medication.
I am conducting a very short 3 visit clinical research study to evaluate the effectiveness of two different doses of a currently marketed drug for overactive bladder otherwise known as OAB. This study will determine if the higher dose of the medication helps reduce the number of times a person has to go to the bathroom and improves different qualify of life measures.
If you have had some of the following signs and symptoms of OAB for at least 6 months you may want to contact us:
-
Feel a strong sudden urge or need to urinate
- Urinate frequently each day
- Experience urge incontinence
- Some leakage of urine before you find a restroom
- Find you always are looking for where the nearest restroom is located
To be considered for participation in this research study, you must be at least 18 years of age or older. Medical staff at my office will review additional criteria with you to determine if youre eligible. If you are eligible and decide to participate, you can expect only 3 office visits over approximately 14 weeks.
Qualified participants will receive all study related care at no cost including:
- Study medication
- Physical Exams
- Lab work
Monetary compensation of up to $135 is available for time and travel expenses.
If you are interested or know someone who may be interested in this short study please contact the Coastal Carolina Research Center at 856-3784, or apply online at www.coastalcarolinaresearch.com.
