In May of 2005, Coastal Carolina Research Center was offered the opportunity to be a part of a national “members-only” network of peer clinical research centers called the Alliance for Multispecialty Research (AMR). AMR is a unique network of independently owned, geographically diverse, and highly experienced clinical research centers. Chartered as a formal organization in 1994, AMR Centers provide clinical trial services across a broad base of therapeutic areas to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nutrition and medical device industries

MR is headquartered in Nashville, TN and is led by Brenda Atchison, who serves as Executive Director. Brenda has over 20 years of research experience in many different capacities and serves to support each of the affiliated members along with Paula Smith, who serves as Associate Director.

The screening process for entry into AMR took over two years of review, information sharing, and discussion. In a sense, it was like a “2 year interview” and it was worth the effort. All the research centers within AMR are independent of each other but do share the same goals of conducting clinical trials as “Centers of Excellence” and earning the respect of the communities in which we work. We were proud to be “voted” into this exclusive club of distinguished clinical research professionals that includes approximately 25 research institutions spread out across the United States.
